A way to start the day softly and playfully,
contacting one’s own voice through the vibration of sound.
We will embrace the voice in our body, through simple guided imagery., breathing excercises and explorative tasks.

MAKKO – HO PRACTICE (MERIDIANS STRETCHING) AND BUTOH DANCE

Makko – Ho are excercises created by Shizuto Masunaga, founder of the Zen Shiatsu System. These excercises develop the flexibility of the body going through its deepest psychological and energetic level. Through this practice we explore the body not in its static field but in its moving and fluid function.
We explore the inner structure that support the external body form that is the basis of life and in a natural way we find the dancing body that moves and is moved.

Manuela Giovagnetti

IMPROVISATION CLASS BASED ON LABAN_BARTENIEFF MOVEMENT STUDIES
i start every day choosing a focus , simple but complex enough to open up questions and possibility of development .
Mostly the themes i work with are related to the fondamentals principles of the body in movement ( breath , weight , alignment , connectivity , space , time , intention/ expression ) and mostly it develop in a comunicative playfull group improvisation .
We practise awareness, we sharp our perceptions throught impro tasks alone or with partner or in the group . We practise our capability to create movements and to allow things to happen .

DAVID BLOOM
The class begins from sensing the body itself, using ideas from systems such as Body-Mind-Centering. We then bring awareness to the time and space we are moving through by some proposals for simple improv structures. Through constantly switching focus from inside the body to out, and back again, we aim to explore dancing as something involving both reception and action. Each class will use the energy of the group present on that particular day, at that particular time, to create a unique experience. Most of all, it's just about life, sweat, and the joy of moving.

David was born in Heidelberg, Germany, to a family from New York, NY.
Played the piano professionally for 12 years, including a brief stint at the bar Marie's Crisis in New York.
Received his dance training mainly at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main, where his teachers included Dieter Heitkamp, Marc Spradling, Nora Kimball and José Biondi.
Also strongly influenced by workshops with William Forsythe, David Zambrano & Kirstie Simson.
Was a member of the dance ensemble at the Staatstheater Darmstadt under Mei Hong Lin, and has participated in projects by Marco Santi, Michael d'Auzon, Nir de Volff/Total Brutal, Micha Purucker, Ingo Reulecke, Friederike Plafki & Felix Ruckert. He also regularly practises Shotokan Karate, is certified for Barbara Carellas' "Urban Tantra", and has taught contemporary dance at studios such as Berlin's Tanzfabrik, Marameo and Dock11 and as a guest lecturer at Dickenson College, Pennsylvania. Since graduating from the M.A. Choreography course at Ernst-Busch-Hochschule/Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz (Inter-University Center for Dance) Berlin, he has been focusing mainly on his own work, including Die Heilige und die Hure, a solo for Felix Ruckert, and Enemy, an interactive sauna dance piece.
